A Microbial Fuel Cell uses microorganisms in (in this case) mud, collecting electrons, oxygen, and
protons to create
voltage. The voltage from this MFC is read and if voltage is being created, the peristaltic pump with
water the plant
being grown out of it. Representing the cyclical relationship between nature and technology, the MFC
takes the form of a
nuclear fuel reactor commenting on power plants' effects on the environment.
